Ivan proudly identifies as a Marchigiano and has spent much of his life in Loreto, a town on Italy’s east coast.

Ivan moved to Scotland in 2012, where he continued his career as a chef and broadened his culinary expertise to include Scottish cuisine. He is passionate about preparing authentic British dishes, many of which feature his favourite ingredient—game. After briefly returning to Italy in 2021, Ivan realised that his heart belonged in Scotland. He returned within seven months and has since made Scotland his permanent home.

With a keen interest in history, Ivan became fascinated by Scotland’s rich heritage, politics and geology. He is always seeking new books to deepen his knowledge, and his extensive collection continues to grow each week, even after 14 years.

Ivan’s enthusiasm for sharing Scotland with others naturally led him to begin conducting tours, which has since become his full-time profession.

Ivan has provided tour services since 2020 and brings considerable experience to every journey. As a fluent bilingual guide, he can help guests explore a wide range of destinations with confidence. He has led groups of more than 40 people as well as small, private tours for families seeking a more personalised experience of Scotland. For smaller parties, he offers itinerary planning, guiding and driving services.
